Location
THE PLACE.
The Domain of Bagnoli, with 1,000 years of history, originally focused on agriculture from 954 AD, was donated by the Lombard nobility to the Curia of Padua, which established Benedictine monks there to reclaim and cultivate the land. Cellars, granaries, storehouses, the court and the Brolo were built between the 10th and 13th centuries. In 1656, the Widmann counts acquired the property, turning it into one of the most impressive monumental complexes in the Veneto region. Due to its proximity to Venice, it attracted artists and poets such as Carlo Goldoni, who wrote "La bottega del caffè" there, and others who praised the locally produced Vin Friularo.
FARM
The Dominio land property covers an area of 600 hectares, one of the largest Farms in the province of Padua.
The Farm produces wine, rice, wheat, corn, soybeans, beets and raises more than 1.500 fattening cattle of the prized "Charolais "and "Aubrac" breeds.
It is also engaged in the production of energy from renewable sources thanks to its modern biogas plant.
The celebrated Friularo DOCG is vinified in the historic cellars, in addition to other grapes from the Company's vineyards.
THE CELLAR
The winery vinifies different types of grapes, producing white and red, young and aged wines. The most characteristic grape is that of Friularo di Bagnoli D.O.C.G., an indigenous vine of very ancient origins.
A wine that stands out for its acidity and tannicity, extremely versatile it reveals an excellent predisposition for aging and making structured wines. Its white vinification produces a sparkling wine that is golden in color, fresh and mineral.
FARMHOUSE
Dominio di Bagnoli represents a meeting point of agriculture, food and wine, art, culture and tradition.
Born from the restoration of old stables, the apartments have been carefully renovated and furnished to recreate the atmosphere of a country home.
Parking and Services
A shuttle will be available to transfer guests from the Lando Mall parking lot to the Bagnoli Domain.
